Today marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of
Aaliyah. Aaliyah was one of the greatest music artists of our time and especially of my generation. She has influenced both male and female artists in various music genres. She showed us that being true to yourself is okay. I looked up to Aaliyah as a young girl and as I enter into my early 20s, I still look up to her as a young woman. No one will ever be able to fill the void that she has left for she is truly one in a million. She's talented, humble, beautiful, and through the gifts of her music she has left us with, she lives on. You are forever missed and you'll never be forgotten.
