Check DMV emcee, Steezy Grizzlies and his new EP, PUNCHOUT! He describes himself as a "young goon who raps like a 90's hipster" and that's exactly what comes to my mind when I was listening to the EP and I like it! His flow is definitely reminiscent of 90s Hip Hop but his lyrics are very recent. And I've never heard an emcee down play themselves so much as Steezy does but I guess it works cause he's actually talented. It's like reverse psychology-the intro to the EP is basically him telling you not to fuck with him cause he's lame! Lol It's interesting though. But I would say that you should fuck with him, cause I'm fucking with this EP. It doesn't have me jumping out of my chair from excitement but I am intrigued. And this is his first project so there is plenty of room for growth and for him to refine his craft. But I did, very much enjoy this EP and I thin you will too. Check it out!!!
