Russian Roulette.

...Let's review shall we?

On Rihanna: Yea, I'm starting to get over my anger towards Riri for "going bad" and all and I'm starting to like her again. She is very talented but I still don't think legendary yet...yet! It seems that she is even badder now with this new album dropping in November...we'll see. But I guess this is how she is going to be for now on so, let's get use to it

On lyrical content of song: It seems that now a days when a song is written well, people do not notice it. But when a song has crappy lyrics, they get all excited and shit. People are not too happy about the lyrics and topic of this song, especially lil Miss Tiffany Evans. She basically said that there's a lot of weak people in the world who might hear this song and kill themselves. I agree because there are weak people who do whatever people tell them to do...or do something when no one told them to do it. But for someone like me who appreciates the art of songwriting and has a great respect for great songwriters, this song was written well. Neyo did a good job writing this and if you are smart enough to really listen and pay attention to the lyrics, you will realize that the song is a metaphor for being in a relationship and taking chances with love. That's why she kept saying "He says". It's obviously the person she is in a relationship with and he wants her to take chances with love and love can be a dangerous thing. They are not literally playing Russian Roulette. And if Neyo did write Rihanna a suicide song, well he had me fool'd! lol But I highly doubt that these lyrics are meant to be taken literally. Music is art people, let's remember that!

On song overall: It's a good song. If it wasn't for the controverisal lyrics, I could so see people singing this on American Idol and all them other singing shows. It's an okay first single for the album. It's probably a good song to set us up for the vibe of the album. I bet it's gonna be even darker than the last album from her. It's a good song. Not off the chain but good. And she is singing a lot more on the track which is good. She did a great job on the song. Neyo always does right by Rihanna and gives her some good music! Nice one!

Lyrics:

Take a breath, take it deep
Calm yourself, he says to me
If you play, you play for keeps
Take a gun, and count to three
I’m sweating now, moving slow
No time to think, my turn to go

Chorus:And you can see my heart beating
You can see it through my chest
And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving
Know that I must pass this test
So just pull the trigger

Say a prayer to yourself
He says close your eyes
Sometimes it helps
And then I get a scary thought
That he’s here means he’s never lost

(Chorus)

As my life flashes before my eyes
I’m wondering will I ever see another sunrise?
So many won’t get the chance to say goodbye
But it’s too late to pick up the value of my life

'Always More, Never Less'-Es
