They made me believe again...

Wow, the pic I made came out mad small...anywho, I wanted to share some musical inspiration with you people! There was a time in my life, actually when I moved from RI to GA(why mother?=( ), and I felt really lonely and really didn't have any hope for tomorrow. It was a dark and lonely place in my life and no sign of light. So one night, the family was watching one of our favorite shows, So You Think You Can Dance, and it was time for one of the couples to do a lyrical dance. Then all of sudden, the music started, and I was lost in a daze. They danced to Goapele's Closer. It was the first time I heard the song but it wouldn't be my last. The next day, I found her on MySpace and listened to the song over and over again. It was more than a song with a dope lyrics and beat...it was the hope I needed in my life. I put a layout of her on my MySpace and everything! To make a long story short, I started to discover artists who would inspire me and make me smile and dance and not give up. My sis got me on Amel Larrieux's Trouble and then we both were addicted to Janelle Monae's Lettin' Go. That was like my summer song for the longest. These three artists helped me in so many ways,I can't even list them all. I'm happy that they are making music because it is truly inspiring people all over the world and making them believe again! They are three powerful, talented, beautiful women and I just hope one day to meet them all and to tell that how much of an inspiration they are to me...I'll get the chance one day....
